Welcome to our website.
The Park View Residential Home has been owned by the Crowe family since 1985 and is currently run by son, Andrew , who also prepares most of the meals for residents.Park View is the longest family owned / run Residential Home in Ilfracombe.
The Home was built in 1909 and was previously known as the Ilfracombe Maternity Hospital. Some of the Park View residents actually had their babies here!! The building is a large, detached residence, situated above Bicclescombe Park, with well kept gardens and patios over looking the Victorian town of Ilfracombe and the beautiful valley leading down to the sea, and is ideally close to the bus stop and only a 2 minute drive to local shops.
We have 22 en-suite rooms to accommodate residents, all of which have safety call alarms. Residents are encouraged to bring as many personal items with them, as their room will hold. Park View Residential Care Home offers permanent and respite care, offering first class quality care by trained staff to elderly residents who can no longer care for themselves.
All residents are treated with great respect and are allowed the dignity and privacy they deserve.
District Nurses, Dentists, Opticians, Chiropodists and Hairdressers all visit on a regular basis. We will also meet special requirements standards.
Outside interests are encouraged, we take regular visits around the local area for cream teas, family and friends are always welcome to join us. We are an open home and visitors to the Home are welcome at any time. We offer a varied and balanced diet. Special dietary requirements will be catered for. The meals are traditionally home-cooked with local produce and prepared by the Proprietor Andrew Crowe.
The local Church Group visits on a weekly basis to entertain and the local Vicar visits to offer Holy Communion to the residents. We are always ready to listen to ways in which to improve the home, we welcome visitors suggestions as well as residents.
